TAPROOM TEAM MEMBER

 

Arrowhead Lodge is looking to grow our team. To be a successful team member you have vast knowledge and appreciation of craft beer, wine, cider, and N/A beverages. You will welcome guests in a friendly and casual yet professional way. You will pour beverages, prepare food, keep tabs and collect payments, but most importantly a taproom team member is responsible for the safety and comfort of our patrons. 

 

Taproom Team Responsibilities

  • Execute opening and closing tasks independently including but not limited to cleaning, restocking, updating inventory, setting up seating, preparing reservations, etc. 

  • POS input & cash management

  • Pour beverages and prepare food in a timely manner

  • Greet guests upon arrival (ideally by name) 

  • Maintain a calm, friendly, and positive demeanor and atmosphere

  • Share in all taproom duties and responsibilities

  • Open and honest communication with management 

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • General knowledge of Square POS system is a plus

  • Knowledge of craft beer, wine, cider and N/A beverages

  • Ability to maintain composure and clarity in a fast paced environment

  • Flexibility for miscellaneous job requirements as they arise

  • Passion for gathering and celebration

  • Willingness to be a team player

  • Must be good with names 

  • Ability to manage a situation in which the safety and/or comfort of patrons is being compromised

  • Technically capable, excellent communicator, and a desire to improve processes

  • 3+ years experience in restaurant/beverage/hospitality industry

 

Working Environment/Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools and controls; to reach with hands and arms; to stand, walk sit stoop or crouch; to talk and to hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Taproom staff often stand in one place for most of their shift and do repetitive motions. At times the taproom environment has noise levels which are usually moderate to loud and temperature fluctuates according to the weather.
