About the event
Shibori is a Japanese dyeing technique, which produces patterns on fabric, dating as far back as the 8th century. There are an infinite number of ways one can bind, stitch, fold, twist, or compress cloth for shibori, and each way results in very different patterns. While tie-dye from the 1960's tends to draw from the entire rainbow color spectrum, the shibori dye is typically only one color -- indigo.
* You must make a reservation to attend. To do so, please call Arrowhead Lodge at 891-6359. Space is extremely limited due to social distancing so be sure to call and reserve your group's space soon! Please know, we are following all protocols and are excited to provide a safe and fun event!
*Please bring up to 4 small articles of material (t-shirts, pillowcases, socks, tea towels, cloth napkins, etc.) -- shibori works best on pre-washed 100% natural materials like cotton, linen, muslin, silk, or hemp.
* Arrowhead Lodge will have 100% cotton white masks available to purchase and dye during the workshop.
